I forgot to write down my goals for July. I’m gonna keep things simple this month…
Work out 4 days a week! Since I only work 3 days a week, and I’m usually so freaking tired from my overnight shifts that I can’t consistently workout everyday when I have to work that night (and the previous night), I am going to make it easy on myself by committing to an awesome 30 minute cardio workout on my days off.
Always choose water over all other beverages! I also had this as a goal last month. I want to continue to reinforce this habit for myself.
Banish negative thoughts/ideas! Too often I’ve let negativity creep in and discourage me. I am my worst critic! I’m human, and it’s okay if I make mistakes. Don’t dwell on stupid shit! Make the necessary changes to get the results I want — that applies to everything, my finances, school, health, work, etc. Don’t make excuses, make changes! Don’t fill your head with hate, fill it with love. Cheesy, yes, but effective. Positive thoughts = positive actions = positive results!
Be open! I’m typically extremely guarded and closed off. I need to change that. I will be open to all things positive. I will allow myself to enjoy life fully. I will take advantage of opportunities. I will let my walls down. I will be open!
So, I completed Day 5 of the 30 Day Shred. Jillian Michaels is seriously an amazing ass-kicker. I love how I feel when I finish her workouts because she is a bad ass and I love feeling like a bad ass too!
I’ve also completed 2 fifteen minute jogs so far this week and tomorrow morning I’ll do my 30 minute jog since I am on a ‘rest day’ from the 30DS.
In addition to that, I climbed the stairs to the 7th floor at work last night, and I’ll be doing that again tonight and Friday night.
Saturday will be a full rest day for me. I feel like I deserve it!
Finally, this morning the scale said 258.4.
Which means that I lost exactly 2 lbs since Sunday. (Hmm…)
I feel like when I look at my watch while I’m running on the road people in their cars think I’m an elite runner training for the olympics
When my brother goes out running, people honk their horns, give him the thumbs up, and yell encouraging words like ‘keep it up’ out their windows. They think he’s training for football or some boxing match.
I’m not ‘ready’ to run outside yet, but when I do, people will think I’m an athlete too!
I’m thinking of wearing it to a wedding in July. I still have a few inches to lose off my belly and hips, but I am sooooo motivated to look good in this dress, I know I can make it happen!
Thank you ASOS for your Curve collection! If I we’re rich, I swear I’d buy every damn thing on your website!!!
